Coach Charmaine SummersCoach Charmaine Summers is the Lead Instructor, Director and Founder of Orange County Golf Academy. She has been coaching since 1980.

She is also the head coach for El Modena High School Varsity Golf Teams.

With over 25 years of Playing and Teaching experience Charmaine Summers has developed the art of teaching golf into a comprehensive and fun experience!

With the development of her Learn and Play 9 League, which is designed to help beginners to intermediate players in a non-stress situation The Learn and Play 9 League is designed for a comfortable learning environment, not a strict organization with strict operating rules – Remember “Golf is Fun!”

Her Junior Program has developed into a well-structured learning experience for all Juniors with emphasis on learning the basics of swing, rules, fundamentals, simplicity and safety all in mind

Charmaine has always been an all American Athlete. She grew up in Tustin, California and played every sport a girl could play from grade school thru college.

Charmaine has played golf since she was 9 years old. Her first lesson was with Sandy Beldon at Santiago Executive Golf Course in Orange, California. The experience led her to the beginning of many accomplishments.

She became club champion at Rancho San Joaquine women’s league in 1975, she has played in many amateur events including the LPGA Pro Western Tour, L.A. Open, Long Beach Open, Santa Barbara Open, Pub links Championships, Pebble Beach Pro/Am, RE/Max Long Drive Championship and more.

Charmaine played on the Pro Western Mini tour, where she saw her greatest potential in women’s’ golf. Realizing that the experience enhanced her game and gave her the tools needed to begin her journey as a playing and teaching professional. She is now celebrating over 25 years of teaching!
